More Proof That Just About Anything Is Possible in SL...

...including stuff you really wouldn't care whether or not it was possible.
Take this delish slice of glitch pie for example...

Second Life: You can fly, breathe underwater, completely change your appearance in 10 seconds or less...but all this pales in comparison to the fact that you can literally have your head up your own ass.
You can also plunge a katana into one of your own breasts without batting an eye.

I also have some good news and some bad news...
  • Good news: I'm getting a new laptop for Christmas. It will be able to support games that are a lot more graphic-intensive than what my current lappy is capable of. So I will probably have more LOLworthy gaming screenshots in the future. Several geek boi friends of mine are planning to get me started in Team Fortress 2, Guild Wars and some other fun stuff. There's also Spore, which my boyfriend bought me a while back and Ol' Faithful has had a lot of trouble with it (of course, the aggressive DRM doesn't help things either.)
  • Bad news: The only OS sold now is Vista. I will more than likely make a switch to XP in the future, but with my procrastination, I'm not sure how soon I will begin such an endeavour. However, I'm sure I'll run into a few funny error messages during my sojourn in Vista, and that means more posts! Also, a significant number of computers at my college are now running Vista, so it couldn't hurt for me to get a little experience with it anyhow.

Part of the reason I haven't updated this blog for while is because of my recent addiction to Ultima Online. (That, and this pesky thing called "Life" that keeps pulling me away from my computer.)
Anyway, as a result of my travels through Britannia, I've gathered a few somewhat LOLable screenshots, ripe for the posting.
Right: I could be wrong, but doesn't this NPC have more important matters to attend to (such as dispelling that energy vortex) than trying to find an escort to the New Haven Docks?

Left: Well, now don't I feel safe! (Actually I do, considering my other follower is a rabbit named Sarah Jessica Parker.)

A few more with assorted oddities or general corniness...includes references to Leave It To Beaver, Ernest, a bunch of gators in the Britain Sewers, a levitating gypsy campfire, and an absolute crapload of parrots on a rooftop.

When your compy can't even muster enough oomph to effectively move the Task Manager window, you know it's going to be a painfully sloooooooooow day.

This one's been waiting for a little while and I just found it. The little bugger had snuck out of my LOLworthy folder.

As you may or may not know already, Flickr has added video capability! Some love it and some hate it but as forme and my house, we shall sayeth, "d00d, can I get a HUZZAH?!" It's limited to 90 seconds in order to maintain the photography purity of the website (Flickr videos are considered "long photographs.") but nonetheless, the capability has still been added.
And of course, I was all over it. [See my video set here.] But Flickr's video uploader still has a few quirks and occasionally it will be unable to process a video for no apparent reason. Although I believe it was a prank, the wording of this processing error still finds its way to LOLworthy.
    "Unable to process this...chicken?"

Been busy with college coursework (yeah, right...actually been busy with NES and SNES emulators acquired through my boyfriend) and so have not had a lot of LOLworthy stuff to post, but I did just happen upon this page...

IT Student, Heal Thyself!

I have a speech I have to give tomorrow for my...you guessed it...Speech class. And of course, as any self-respecting college student would do, I have waited until the last minute to git 'er done.
My topic? "Defragging: Does A 'Puter Good."
The speech discusses several elements of simple computer maintenance that anyone can perform, in order to save them heartache in the long run, focusing on the defragmenting process.
Of course, in my panic to get the friggin' thing done, I had quite a few things open so I could multi-task, researching and writing the speech simultaneously. The speech requires a PowerPoint presentation, hence the screenshot.

It could be the fact that my brain, stressed and in a frenzy, is currently floating in a tepid pool of caffeine, but I find it slightly amusing that as I sat at my lappy trying to assemble a halfway-decent slideshow on improving computer performance, the browser with which I was doing research zonked out.

I knew my Zune kicked arsh0nezz (80GB, biatchos, that's larger than my laptop's HD), but what I didn't know was that it was "well-endowed."

OK, yeah, I know what they mean, but that doesn't mean the 6th grader inside of me isn't snickering a little.
