Today I witnessed a rare spectacle - it snowed...in Texas...in March. The meteorologists say we could get five inches of snow tonight. To some of y'all Yankees that might seem like a picnic in the park, but Texans are a lot wimpier about cold weather. All the schools are expected to be closed tomorrow.
The cold shouldn't stick around too long, though. There is a saying in the Lone Star State about our weather:
The WeatherBug screenshot to the right was seen months ago, but it's typically Texan. If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes and it'll change.
But anyway, this weather has given me a bit of extra time to get some coursework done for my online Web Programming class and listen to some John Mayer.
I've also been on a White Stripes kick recently. I just downloaded a few MP3s by them from Wal-Mart Music Downloads.
Wow! I knew they weren't new to the music business, but I had no idea they'd been around that long! I mean, 108 years of awesomeness and still going strong?
Yeah, so it's just a typo. Still, I think there's some subliminal stuff going on with that website.
We all misspell stuff from time to tiem time, sometimes even on purpose. ("i can has cheezburger? oh hai!!!11!! dood, j00 r teh r0x0rz!!1!1!!!1)
Still, there are some times when one should really hit the spellcheck before sending your words out to sail on that vast ocean known as the Internet. You'll notice that most of these typos listed here are from companies that should know better than the endless supply of n00bs that make the same mistakes.
What about a personals ad, in which the title alone assures potential partners that you're not just a pretty face?
Well, at least they've still got their looks. Nah, probably not.
But if looks don't matter to you, perhaps you'd still like to woo this cyber Casanova with a few tickets to a Better Than Ezra concert? Facebook says they're now on tour.
Oh, shucky-darn! All they've got is Better Than Erza tickets.
You could always find Mr. or Mrs. Right on MySpace and add them to your friends list. If you don't have many friends on MySpace, you could always add a spiffy (ooh, spiffy!) button to your page that allows hundreds of people you don't know to add you as a friend quickly and easily. It might look somewhat like the "Send to Freind" button on the MySpace page for Universal Pictures' "Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
If you're not on MySpace, you can start a relationship via e-mail. I highly recommend Yahoo!, which allows you to add
At least, they will soon.
